Senior Accountant

Three months before graduating from Salem State University with a major in Accounting, Kimberly Duong joined NFS Leasing. Now, seven years later, she truly cannot imagine a better professional fit than NFS Leasing. Kimberly’s thoughtful and measured approach, willingness to help her co-workers, and extraordinary attention to detail are among just a few of the many invaluable attributes she brings to her role.
Kimberly started her career as Staff Accountant and, in 2019, was promoted to Senior Accountant. She currently manages customer order transactions and lease deal processing. She plays a vital role in helping to manage the leasing portfolio, including issuing purchase orders, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Additionally, Kimberly supports the contracts team in compiling important documentation and acts as the final checkpoint for NFS clients. She diligently files sales and use tax returns and assists with the financial close process. Furthermore, she mentors new accounting team members and reports NFS financials to the management team for review.
Helping businesses receive financial assistance during challenging times is the most rewarding part of her job. Kimberly feels she can make an immediate and lasting impact and is able to help her clients and their businesses in a meaningful way. For her, there is no greater feeling.
She is most proud of her personal and professional growth at NFS because she joined the company as a college student with no accounting experience and quickly learned the ropes. Kimberly enjoys sharing her expertise and knowledge with others as she trains and guides new team members. As the accounting team grows, she loves having the opportunity to support others who are learning the business in the same way that her co-workers supported her during her early years.
She feels excited to come to work every day because there is always a problem to solve. As someone who loves figuring out puzzles, she enjoys uncovering creative solutions that help solve some of the most pressing challenges that cross her desk. She appreciates her kind-natured colleagues, who are endlessly collaborative, positive, and willing to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Leadership has always enthusiastically encouraged her continual growth and willingness to step outside her comfort zone. Overall, the support she has received from her co-workers alongside senior management is a driving factor for why she feels valued within her role and has enjoyed her long-term tenure with the company.
Kimberly sees a bright and promising future with NFS and is excited about what is to come for the company and her professional goals and aspirations.
